Voici Nathalie et Jean-Luc!

Nathalie and Jean-Luc are the proud parents to a cute little girl named Brooke.  Nathalie is also a hairdresser and an aspiring photographer.  I first met Nathalie at the Yarmouth Bridal and Prom show last year and then met her again and again at two of my photography workshops I held last winter.  :)

Nathalie was hoping for a winter wedding… as was I.   We were wishing for lots of snow, but this year must have been the worst winter ever for having any amounts of snow.  The weeks prior to their wedding we had beautiful warm and calm weather unlike the day of their wedding.  It must have been one of the windiest days we had all winter thus limiting our outdoor photos.  However she and the bridal party were all troopers as we headed to the cold and extremely windy outdoors for a few photos.

Brooke must have had 3 sets of batteries as she danced and had other kids chasing her around the dance floor all evening.   She was very entertaining for me and others to watch.

After what started as a top 10 list of my favorite moments captured for 2011, I ended up with a list of the top 25 photos!

With much difficulty, here are my favorite moments captured for 2011.  Enjoy!

Number Eight:

Here the groom and his brother are in the back of the church moments before the ceremony.  The groom’s brother takes a moment to relax while the groom is checking on the time.

The bride’s father tenderly touches his daughter’s face as he gives her away at the alter.

As the guests around them dance and celebrate, they take a moment for a kiss.

I first met Matthew last year at Jennifer’s sister’s wedding! Me and my wife Daphne were sitting at the same dinner table and Matthew had approached me then to shoot his upcoming wedding.

After having their hair and makeup “did”, Jennifer and the bridesmaids got ready at the Eagle’s Cliff Ocean View Estates located in Salmon River, NS. It’s the first I’ve ever heard of this beautiful location that’s located not far from where I live. The view of “Eagle’s Cliff” is simply breathtaking.
