Warning… this is NOT a rant! I just find it funny and I’m being sarcastic… at times! 🙂
Often at weddings I meet up with peers I went to school with. The question I get asked the most is…. “so… you like doin’ this?”
Here’s the exclusive long blog answer…
Hell no… I do it because my life is boring and I don’t have anything else better to do on a Friday / Saturday night and I like sending my son to his grandparents, in-laws, or with a babysitter every weekend and I like dropping $2000 lenses in lakes, gettin’ all dirty rolling around on the ground, putting myself in dangerous positions/locations, the fast-paced day and stress involved in not missing a shot and I’d rather be here than with all my family camping…etc…! 😉 lol Did I already mention this wasn’t a rant!
Hell YES… I like doin’ this… this being weddings! 🙂 I am with a bride and groom on their most joyest day of their lives and celebrating it with their families. I am surrounded with happiness, love and tears of joy all the while I am playing a part at creating a time capsule of these dearest moments in their lives. Does it get any more rewarding than having the family all teary-eyed while looking at the photos you captured? Besides all this, I get to make many great friends, eat tasty food (cake), listen to some great jamz and shake it up on the dance floor.
So the simple short answer I tell them is… yes… yes I do like doin’ “this”! 🙂
