Just getting back from bootcamp… yes, that’s right… bootcamp. A two and a half day, from 9AM to 9PM, lighting and skillset bootcamp with Cliff Mautner in the Philly / Jersey area. Cliff was named one of the top ten wedding photographers in the world by American Photo Magazine. His style and the way he embraces light is truly amazing and inspiring. Not only did he teach us how to see and make use of many sources of light, but we got to see him interact in a live potential wedding client meeting. We got to see his workflow and we all got to ask him many many questions… he was open to basically any question we had regarding photography and the business that goes along with it.
I feel truly blessed and fortunate to of had this opportunity to not only meet Cliff and attend his workshop, but to meet all the great photographers / people who have traveled from around the world to attend. The attendees were from as far as Japan, Brazil and Mexico. Many from across the US, one from Toronto and 2 of us from Nova Scotia. Many new friends have been made and I hope we all continue to stay in touch. I miss all of you guys already… and the warm summer air in beautiful Philly! 😉
